Eyesi

The Eyesi surgical device is a high-end virtual reality simulator for intraocular surgery training. The training units range from basic skills training through to surgical procedures and complications management. Validated training concepts and a multilanguage interface support ophthalmologists in training. The main focus in RCEH is to improve the quality of phaco training, support the learning curve and reduce the risks for patients. Training sessions are integrated in the weekly routine of trainees.

Upon request the Eyesi simulator is also accesible for colleagues from outside the hospital with a focus on Rwandan ophthalmologists.
